You never know who is gonna stop by The Bull’s tent before a show, and at Friday’s Blake Shelton show at the Tacoma Dome, we had an amazing surprise visit. As soon as she walked up with her cowhide fiddle case, we knew we were in the presence of greatness: the reigning Country Music Association‘s Musician of the Year Jenee Fleenor!
We all about fell out when she launched into the #1 Country Song in America that she plays on – you will know this jammin’ fiddle riff right away!
Jenee is a singer-songwriter who is most famous for playing the fiddle but also plays mandolin, guitar and more. In 2019, she not only became the first woman ever to win the CMA Musician of The Year Award but also was the first fiddle player to win the award in over 20 years!
She is currently out playing with Blake Shelton but also plays for John Anderson on Blake’s Friends and Heroes Tour and also performs regularly in the house band on NBC’s “The Voice”. Jenee has also performed with Jon Pardi, Steven Tyler, Cody Johnson, and Rascal Flatts and his written songs for them as well as with Dolly Parton and Kathy Mattea.
Here she is with Martina McBride:
Jenee has a new album out called “Fiddle and Steel”.
