Aaron Goodvin Performs The Song He Pitched For The FMDP "Lonely Drum"

Aaron Goodvin is incredibly well-known in Canada for his music, but now he’s making a similar impact in the United States after he pitched his song for The Bobby Bones Show’s Friday Morning Dance Party.

Last week, Bobby Bones shared that an artist sent him a framed pitch asking for his song to be played in a favorite segment of the show’s, The Friday Morning Dance Party. After hearing Goodvin’s song “Lonely Drum,” Bones loved it and thought it was great to play in the dance party. So they added it to the playlist for last Friday’s show. When the show tweeted at Goodvin what was going down, he got blown up on his phone. At first, he thought one of his big Canadian fans was tweeting at Bones to play his song. But then when he looked at it, he saw the show tweeted at him that his song was playing on the radio that Friday. After that, he received texts and phone calls about it happening all day.

Goodvin was ready to bring “Lonely Drum” to the states because of all of its success in Canada. He had always planned to move to Nashville to pursue his music career, but he met a guy with Warner Music Canada and things exploded from there. He’s just excited to get to play his music for people. He added that it’s really humbling to play shows in the U.S. because people will come up to him and ask him to play covers. But then he will go back to play in Canada where everyone knows his songs. Though people in the U.S. know his songs more than they think, he’s written for artists like Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi, and Cole Swindell.
