ACM Awards 2019: Here’s This Years Nominations!

Reba McEntire will be hosting the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards! Like any good host she announced the full list of nominated artists!

With Keith Urban and Chris Stapleton leading the nominations including both Male Artist of the year and Entertainer of the year. Sadly none of the ground breaking women artists from the past year made it into those categories.

“It doesn’t make me very happy because we’ve got some very talented women out there who are working their butts off,” McEntire said of the male-dominated category.

She also stated that this year will not be fueled by politics which is music to a lot of our ears. “We’ve got to keep it light. We’ve got to keep it fun. No politics. This is fun. This is entertainment. We are in the entertainment business, and that’s what we’re going to be doing,” McEntire stated.

About Ryder

Born and raised in Washington and I’m proud to call this place my home. I grew up dragging brush for my dad's tree service while listening to the radio. Those are some of my fondest memories as a kid. Being on a country radio station in Seattle is a chance to bring some of that joy to the greater Seattle area!
