Bobby Bones isn’t big on resolutions but he’s big on setting new goals. He knows if he’s going to set anything, it’s not going to last a year. He believes setting micro goals until they become macro is a better idea.
His recommendation is to reevaluate what you want to change and give yourself one month to do it. Set a goal that you’ll be able to achieve in one month, which will make you want to continue because you’ll start to see results. He hopes you can nail that one month goal that will then build up to the bigger picture goal down the road. It’ll be easier to reach your long-term big goals if you set a smaller one towards it that you can easily achieve in a month.
Bones monthly goal is to drink his body weight in ounces of water a day. That’s 170 ounces a day. If he reaches his goal in one month, he’ll buy himself a shirt he’s been wanting.
