Everything you need to know about the ACM performances. Plus how to watch!

The time is almost here! The 54th Academy of Country Music Awards will be broadcast live from Las Vegas on Sunday, April 7 beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Reba McEntire is returning once again to host the show — for the 16th time! It’s Country Music’s biggest night and the industry’s biggest names will be there, plus some newcomers to the scene. Here’s everything you need to know about who’s performing at this year’s show plus how to watch it all unfold live on your screen.

Who’s Performing?

Let’s face it, we all watch the ACMs for the performances. Who’s singing with who? What will Carrie Underwood be wearing? Will there be any surprises (of course!)

Performers include Carrie Underwood, George Strait, Maren Morris, Little Big Town, Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, LANCO, Brothers Osborne, Kane Brown, and the Country Queen, Reba herself (will she rock another throwback dress this year?). Jason Aldean, who will receive this year’s “ACM Dick Clark Artist of the Decade Award”, will also sing at the ceremony.

The most exciting performances for me are the collaborations. When the biggest stars are all in the same room, it’s a chance to see our favorite artists singing together. Kelly Clarkson will perform with both Jason Aldean and Dan + Shay. Dierks Bentley will sing with Brandi Carlile, Eric Church and Ashley McBryde will duet together, and DJ Khalid will rock out with Kane Brown (is Kane thinking about going Pop?). Jason Aldean also gets to jam with Florida Georgia Line, and Maren Morris will collaborate with Brothers Osborne.

Just like in previous years, the ACMs will once again feature the “ACM Flashbacks,” which pay tribute to classic country songs. This year, Brooks & Dunn will join forces with Luke Combs, and Miranda Lambert will duet with George Strait to sing some old-school hits. (It will also be Miranda’s first major event since her surprise wedding – I hope she brings her new hubby to the show.)
