Daniel Kennedy of the US Military

You don’t need to write a 1000 word thesis to thank someone you know for their service. Sometimes I receive long, detailed letters telling the stories of a troop and the sender. They’ll tell me how they met, how their troop and the service has played a role in their lives, or their friendship, and then I might get detailed information about where that person is serving, about the job they do for our military, and possibly about awards or great stories…and I love reading each and every one of them. But I also read the very short salutes. Today we are saluting Daniel Kennedy of The United States Military. I am going to read you EXACTLY what I received. “Thank you Dan for Serving our country and putting your life on the line to protect us. We love you. Billie and Kris”. Billie and Kris are obviously very proud of Dan, and they clearly love their troop. Are they his friends, his parents, maybe his siblings, or maybe they’re neighbors? I don’t know, but it really doesn’t matter here, because they are proud of Dan, and they are thanking him for his service to this nation. I don’t know what branch Dan served in, or what he did, but that doesn’t matter because he did serve. And we are honored to thank Daniel Kennedy for his service to this nation. And that is what the Troop Salute is all about. And so today we salute Dan Kennedy of The United States Military.
