Is there anything better than hanging out with adorable animals in the sunshine? The answer is no, absolutely not. My ideal Saturday afternoon is me, hanging out in a park on a beautiful summer day playing with a bunch of dogs, and I’m sure lots of people feel the exact same way. Wake Up With Yoga & Cats – July 28th
If you’re looking to combine your early morning workout with your love of cats, look no further! The adorable cat café, Seattle Meowtropolitan, holds yoga classes every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday with their cats! If you’ve ever wanted to become a human cat tower, this is the activity for you. Each class comes with a complementary cup of tea in the café afterwards, so you can watch some adorable cats while cooling down. What a purr-fect activity to start your day!

Bow Wow Luau – July 28th
Time to get out and enjoy the sunshine with an ice cold beer and your favorite furry friend. The Homeward Pet Adoption Center is partnering with Fish Brewing Taproom, a local dog-friendly brewery to raise some funds while having some fun! Homeward Pet Adoption Center is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter that is focused on giving animals a second chance at life. Who doesn’t want to support a cause like that?! This is a ticketed event, but each ticket purchase includes one pint of beer, light snacks. And raffle tickets. Dress up in your Hawaiian best and bring you and your pet on down for a great time and an event greater cause.

First Caturday – August 4th
If you want to give your cat an un-fur-gettable outing, look no further than the First Caturday at Cal Anderson Park in Seattle. Not all cats want to stay indoors and First Caturday is the purr-fect way to get together with other cat lovers in the Seattle area and show your cat some of the great outdoors! This is a completely free event that happens the first Saturday of every month, so make sure to stop by if you and your furry friend wants to get out for the afternoon.

Corgi Races – August 5th
This event combines everything you could ever want and more in an animal themed day. Horses AND Corgies, two animals for the price of one! Head down to the Emerald Downs to see some amazing horse races, which is already such a fun activity for the whole family. Then, at 2pm, the “Parade of Corgis” begins. Can you think of anything more adorable?! After the parade, Corgis will race on the track in between each horse race. Whoever came up with this kind of quality entertainment deserves a raise.
Asian Wildlife Conservation Day – August 11th
If you’re looking for a more educational animal experience, then have I found the event for you! Woodland Park Zoo is hosting Wild Asia: Asian Wildlife Conservation Day. This event is an opportunity for the zoo to show how their partnerships and saving endangered species in Asia. You’ll have the opportunities to learn more about issues like logging, palm oil, and how your choices and actions can help amazing animals like Malayan tigers, orangutans, tree kangaroos, and even more. The day will be jam packed with fun activities like the chance to talk to keepers, crafts, and so much more!
