The Experience: Eric Church’s Double Down Tour At The Gorge

We were taken to Church over the weekend of June 28th and 29th at one of the most beautiful venues in the entire country, The Gorge. Eric Church brought his epic Double Down Tour to George, WA and did not disappoint. Each show consisted of about 35 songs with about a 20 minute intermission. He performed a plethora of his hits from all six of his studio albums, and some covers too, including Pearl Jam’s ‘Better Man’ which was fitting in the state of Washington.

It wasn’t just the music, the instruments, or the energy that made this 2-day performance incredible, it was how he interacted with the massive crowd at The Gorge, which at capacity holds 27,500 people. He consistently high-fived, sang to, and autographed countless pieces of memorabilia. Wherever you were in the crowd you felt a part of the show, which is one of the most difficult things to do on a massive stage. But if you can do it, the show becomes more than a great time, it becomes unforgettable to the concert goer, and he achieved that over the weekend.

About Corey Dillon

I love dogs, have an average beard at best, and I was born and raised in the Northeast but couldn't be happier to make the PNW my new home. When I'm not in studio you can catch me playing golf or exploring the amazing trails Washington has to offer.
