
Our mobile food trailer, The Vet Chef, is currently looking for a cook/cashier with CURRENT FOOD HANDLERS PERMIT. The Vet Chef was established in 2015 and is a Veteran owned and operated business. Our mission is to build a brand of mobile food trailers owned and operated by veterans and their families. While all applicants will be considered, qualified veterans will receive preference.
Candidates MUST be able to (Required):
– stand for long periods of time
– be able to lift 35lbs and push 50lbs
– follow procedures and learn something job related everyday
– have cooking experience
– efficient at prep & service
– Be punctual and willing to stay late if necessary
– MUST HAVE FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE including evenings and weekends (NO EXCEPTIONS)
– tolerate heat
– occasionally travel to different locations (we’re a food truck)
– have fun and communicate well with customers
– assist with cleaning
– Food Handlers Permit is required NO EXCEPTIONS
– Have the ability to work well with others while under pressure in a fast paced environment
– Show sharp attention to detail and ability to multi-task
– Possess a positive attitude and fun demeanor
