1. Blake Shelton
The country star with numerous hits including “I’ll Name the Dogs”, “Honey Bee”, and “Sangria” will be taking the main stage Watershed weekend. The singer, named “Sexiest Man of the Year” by People Magazine in 2017, is in the middle of his festival tour (most recently at the Pendleton Whisky Music Fest on July 14th). Despite his drunken fall at his latest show, he’s not letting that stop him! TRUST ME, you do not want to miss the “Sexiest Man Alive”!
2. Brad Paisley
Brad Paisley is bringing his ‘Weekend Warrior Tour” to the Gorge with some surprising twists. I don’t want to spoil too much for you, but you can expect a special tribute to an 80’s pop legend and something near and dear to the hearts of veterans and their families. We know for sure that this will be a hard rocking country show that will feature his hits “Whiskey Lullaby” and “She’s Everything”. Need to get ready for Brad’s summer tour? No worries! The singer has composed a playlist of all his greatest hits on his Spotify page for you to blast on the summer campgrounds!
3. Brantley Gilbert
The Georgia Native is one who keeps his country roots close to him. Embodying his personal life into his songwriting, Brantley Gilbert is definitely an act you don’t want to miss! Ever since he debuted his album in 2010, he’s produced hit after hit including “One Hell of an Amen”, “Bottoms Up”, and “The Weekend”. Gilbert recently shared with The Boot that he’s currently working on new music:
“I think there’s a little bit of everything on this one. We wanted to put some rockers on there for our die-hards, but we always like to dance a little bit outside the box. There’s a little bit of that, too,”
Make sure to catch Brantley Gilbert as he takes the stage Watershed weekend!
4. Dustin Lynch
2017 may have been Dustin Lynch’s biggest year yet! The young country singer had his most successful single yet with “Small Town Boy” reaching platinum status and topping country charts for weeks. “Seein’ Red” also followed similar success with the charts in 2017. His latest album “Current Mood” reached #2 on the country charts and has held its ground in the charts for 10 months now. The talented singer is nothing short of his success, also featuring extraneous talent in songwriting – co-writing 7 of his own songs on “Current Mood”. Lynch is now performing in front of more people than ever and he credits that to hard work. In a recent phone interview with Idaho State Journal, he explains his success “It comes from working hard and setting goals, meeting goals. But I think it’s also putting out the right music at the right time.” No longer a “Small Town Boy”, this singer is definitely a must-see!
5. Cole Swindell
Cole Swindell is no strange face to the country music scene. His success is nowhere near short with four #1 hits on the Billboard Country charts , seven hits in the top ten, and three #1 singles that he co-wrote on. Swindell’s highly anticipated album will be released August 13th featuring 12 songs, 5 of which he helped write. He plans to perform numerous hits from his upcoming album “All of It” at Watershed. “If it doesn’t get any better than this, I think I’m going to be alright,” Swindell told CMT. He continued on to say, ““I just want to put out an album that people love and that I love and says what I want to say.” Don’t miss his debut of “All of It” at Watershed!
Singers to Watch
Brett Young is definitely one to watch! Last year he was nominated for CMA’s New Artist of the Year Award and released his debut, self-titled album which became gold-certified. You may recognize his self-described “West Coast meets Country Sound” from his hit singles “In Case You Didn’t Know” and “Sleep Without You” which became PLATINUM certified #1 hits on the charts. Young has met much success in his beginning years and is expected to only propel to the top of the Country charts from here. You don’t want to miss this new up and comer at Watershed!
2. Chris Lane
With his latest Sophomore album release Laps Around the Sun, Chris Lane has been looking to Kenny for his latest inspiration. Lane told People about his experience with Kenny Chesney, saying “He’s the king of having music that takes you to a certain place in your life with happy memories, sad memories, whatever it is,” adds Lane. “I want songs that do that.” Lane finally feels that he has achieved the success he’s always wanted with his latest music. Chris Lane has reached major success with his songs “Fix” and “Take Back Home Girl” featuring pop singer Tori Kelly.
In the latest PEOPLE interview with Chris Lane, Chris talks about his newfound success.
“Despite his rising popularity as one of the up and comers in country music, Lane still views himself as just a small-town boy with the same values he was raised on. ‘I’m still the same exact guy,’ Lane tells PEOPLE. ‘Just a few more people know my name now and I’m very thankful for that.”’
